MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It was a busy/unlucky/merry/long day on 24.12.2009.

While on bus 961 to sixth ave, the glass on one of the bus doors shattered to bits. I believe it was due to the impact from a rock/stone. It was my first time, and probably the driver's first time experiencing this as he was totally stunned for a few minutes, which i was not too pleased at. Everyone got off and had to walk to the next stop along the dangerous road and in wet conditions.

Finally got to sixth ave and then realise that TeaParty is not open untill 3pm. Took bus down to hollandv with sisters. Had crystal jade instead. Christmas exchange at starbucks thereafter.

Went home and prepare for the buffet and party at night. Trained with TM to clarke quay and meet the rest. Taxi to Furama city centre. A few minutes ride was $8+, scary! Everyone wore according to the theme: 学院风.

TM, wren and jes finished a bottle of red wine! After dinner, we had christmas exchange and photo takings.

Then we took a bus to clarke quay and chilled at Brewerkz. Ordered a shutte and we played 终极密码. To prevent me from becoming what i became at dragonfly 2 months back, TM helped me to drink, plus his own. In the end, he was the one who got sleepy this time. HAHA. He's sweet:)

Stayed till the pub closes and the two of us cabbed home first, TM needed a bed. The driver who sent us home was (too) fast and furious. Nevertheless, it was a successsful and fun party with the people!:D

SEASON GREETINGS!

Been lazy to blog. But TM wanted me to. HAHA. So i will do one simple post. Went Timbre with sisters last thursday. Just a gathering before christmas. We got a seat indoor near the band, and it was good:) The roast duck pizza they ordered was something new and delicious too! Had another girls talk and they leave me feeling fortunate, having them as my sisters, each time we meet up.

TM came to pick me up from woodlands, like most of the time. Sweet.

Then on saturday TM and i head out to bugis, vivo and powerhouse. It was a tiring day. But whatever we eat was good food, maybe that can make it up:P The hawker at harbourfront is a place to uncover food gems.

Today we were at chinatown and TM recommended a 炸鱼头米粉 for our lunch. It was very much to my liking! Although it was unglam having to struggle with the fishhead, but i wiped it out:D Both of us like hanging out at hawker centres occasionally. The feeling is differently-good. Although you get more of the strange acting people (like sharing a table with 3 other different groups of people, no seat was left unscathed), and repeatedly rejecting tissue sellers or even jostling with the more unhygienic hawkers/customers likewise. The hawker centres can never be replaced.

I am hungry.

UP UP & AWAY!

Another weekend over at TM's. We went kite flying at Upper Seletar Reservoir. Its a place that holds a very significant memory for us:D Our 8th month was on saturday so returning to the place was just right. And we had fun. Although we lost 2 kites. Boohoo.

The first kite was lost accidentally when the kite flew too fast and the string went finished before we knew it.

The second one was alright until we decided to pull it back for pack up. Got distracted by the monkey there and the low kite went into the water. Gone. Luckily we got our nylon strings back.

Our kite at its glorious high. 2 rolls of strings all used up, its our own record too.

MUSHROOM POT

Finally had our semester-ly steamboat buffet with the NIE girls, weiren, mingzhu and xueting. This time round we went to Ochard Point's Mushroom Pot.

We love the 麻辣汤 and 白菜! Yummy:D Fried shitake mushroom is love too! I can never get enough of shrooms:DD

CAMRY TO GEYLANG

It was another Sunday at TM's house. Been spending 2 weekends at his place and having impromtu outings with his family. Whee:D

This time, TM daddy decided to go for their fave TURTLE SOUP at geylang lorong 21. I never had turtle soup before! Was quite worried that i won't dare to eat it. I proved myself wrong. The turtle soup was very tasty! The soup base is a mixture of herbs and pepper, while the meat had a slightly unique flavour unlike our usual ones. I only had the gel-like thing, which i don't know is what part, and the turtle meat. TM said that his brother ate the egg. And the black thing in the picture is i don't know what. Basically almost the whole turtle can be eaten.

The stall is called 生成山瑞补品, and there was already a crowd when we went there. Luckily we were earlier enough to get a table. TM daddy ordered 2 pots of $36, and in total 8 bowls of rice and 5 chrysanthemum tea. TM had more than 2 bowls of rice!

After that we drove to chinatown to visit 裕华国货 as TM's parents have not been there before. There were so many people in chinatown. The spiral carpark was terrible. Took ages to park and even longer to get out.

Headed to town with TM today for shopping. Both of us were feeling sick. Had hot honey lemon drink first to warm us up.

Walked around far east, from the first level to the fourth level until it was super cold and we decided to eat, to 取暖. Went to this stall and had fishball noodle and yong tau foo. My fishball noodle was very good! Tastes very old school with 6 fishballs, lots of fish cake and vegetables plus fresh CHILLI PADI all you can take! Big yums for only $3.80.

Continued for another while and we called it a day. Dinner at TM's place:D

And soon, its back to the grind for TM in the training kitchen and another homely/sickly week ahead for me.

A 30 minutes meet up this morning was like the elixir to my illness. Holiday without the boyfriend is utterly miserable. I cant wait to see him again tml after i get back from the causeway.

The boyfriend had been in the kitchen for almost another 12 hours already. The training for next year's competition is really xiong. Before the team comes together on saturday for TRAINING, they meet up in their own little groups on thursday and friday to PREPARE. Luckily the trainings are not weekly! But unfortunately, there is training again next week! SOBS.

We still had quite a few things to do but there is so little time for us. Soon, my holidays will finish and i must go back to school again.

DADDY'S BIRTHDAY!

Celebrated daddy's birthday last sat. It was a busy and sweaty time helping out mummy and TM in the kitchen. They whipped up a 9 course dinner, like waoh! At night, we watched tv and played with baby before cutting the cake.

FISHING!

On sunday, i went over TM's place at noon and had lunch. Then we watched 风声 with his brother and mummy. Luckily i saw the interview with the cast on 康熙 before, so i know abit about the show. Anyway, the movie was nice! Not something i would be attracted to go and watch in the cinema. But the story is definitely interesting.

After that we went fishing at Upper Pierce. My first time there. It was beautiful!! The road that goes there is long and winding, there were many small monkeys as well. They just sit on the road like its theirs, drivers got to be extra careful! There were quite alot of people on that day. And the place is great for kite flying as well. TM caught 2 fishes. Nice work!

This the lower part of the reservoir, the dark slope in the middle of the pic divides the lower and upper part. We walked down from there. Scary!

Didn't caught any fish in the lower part and so we walked up the slope again. Tiring leh! But worth it!

It was hot and sunny! Probably why there was no one here. All were at the lower part down on the right of the picture and near the entrance where the path was leading.
